Joe Kalczynski

Joe Kalczynski won a state championship in 1994 while playing catcher at Brother Rice. In 1996, he was named Catholic League Student-Athlete of the Year. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers out of high school, but elected to attend and play baseball Michigan State University. In 1999, he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks and played professional baseball for 6 years. 

Since 2011, Coach Kal has experienced tremendous success coaching youth teams in the Warriors Baseball Organization. His youth teams are perennial invitees to the USSSA Elite 32 World Series. Coach Kal also coaches varsity basketball at Parkway Christian High School.
